ADMIRALTY HAVE SITUATION WELL IN HAND.

■ ■ Wellington, Oct. 5 With respect to the announcement cf the bombardment of Papeete by Gt-r----man cruisers, the Governor has received information that the French tunboat Zelee was sunk<and a considerable portion of the town destroyed by sheU nre. His Excellency also received an assurance from the Admiralty that thtv have the situation well in hand.
