GOVERNMENT APPOINTMENTS

Dunedin, April 29. The following appointments to Harbour Boards throughout New Zealand are announced by the Hon. Mr Fisher: Auckland, Mr Ewen William Allison ; Bluff, Messrs Robert Albert Anderson and Ernest Arnott Nichol; Foxton, Mr Edward Reuben Benjamin Hoben; Gisborrn?, Messrs Arthur Henry Wallis and Reginald Gerard Hallamore; Havelock, Mr William Hadfield Smith; Lyttelton, Mr George Scott; Napier, Messrs Arfhur Luther Beattie- and Thomas. Mason Chambers; Nelson, Messrs John Graham and William Wallace - Snodgrass ; New Plymouth, Mr Edward Dockrill; Oamaru, Messrs Win. Gardner and Adam McKay; Otago, Mr Wm. Wilkinson; Patea, Mr Adolph Christen - son j Thames, Mr William Henry Potts ; Waiinakariri, Messrs Louis Edmonds and Thomas E. Keetely; Wairoa, Messrs George. Mayo and Alex. Sinclair; Wairau, Messrs Adam Watson JacUon, and Thomas Pike; Waitara, .Mr Harry. Mackenzie; Wanganui, Mr James Thomas Hogan; Wellington, Mr Joseph George Harkness; Whangaroi, Mr John David McKenzie.
The Hon. Mr Bell has been recommended to sign the recommendation for Mr Brownlee's appointment to the Havelock Board.
Mr S. F, Sherwood, secretary of the Nelson Harbour Board, received advice from the Secretary for Marino yesterday of the appointment of Messrs John Graham and" W. W. Snodgrass to the board. The present nominated members are Messrs A. T. Magirnity and E. E. Trask. '
