The High Commissioner's market rej>ort, dated London, 28th inst., is as follows:— , The wool sales nave! commenced. "There is a large attendance, including \merican representatives. Competition is strong. Merinos, fine orossbreds, all grades average from par to '-d dearer; medium coarse crossbreds, ail o-rades very firm at closing rates at Inst"sales. There* are 130,000 bales of iNcw Zealand wool catalogued.
Messrs E. Buxton and Co., Ltd., advise having received the following table from thoir London agents (Messrs Sanderson, Murray, and Co.) yesterday, with reference to the opening of the • April-May series of London wool sales: "Sales opened firm, with large attendance of buyers, and good competition. Greasy Merino advanced par to 5 per cent.; other descriptions show no change." . , _ , -Messrs Bisloy Bros, and Co. report havincr received the following cable from their London agents (Messrs Jas. Morrison and. go., Ltd.):—'; Wool, fine advanced 2 .l^por cent, to 5 par cent., others unchaitgHd."
