WEDDING.

EVERETT—CH A LLIES

A very interesting and pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Alban s, Apploby, on April 21st, when Mr Harry Everett, of. Riwaka, eldest son of Mr Horatio Everett, of i:Huanui," Riwaka, was married to Miss May Challies, eldest daughter of Mr Charles Challies, of "Land's End." Appleby. The Rev. A. J Carr was "the officiating .minister. The bride who was given away by her father, woro an ivory merve silk, gown, with pearl trimming and Paris Jace, and a wreath and veil. She was attender as bridesmaids by Misses Alice Challies and Bessie Everett, the former wearing pale pink silk eolinne, black hat, and the latter pale blue crepe de chine, and black hat, with fur' trimming. " Both bride and bridesmaids car-ried-shower bouquets. Mr Reg. Hamilton acted as best man, and Mr Charles Challies, jun., as groomsman. After the ceremony the wedding party adjourned by motors to the residence of the bride's parents, where afternoon tea was.partaken of. Amongst the presents was a silver cake dish presented to tho bride by her Appleby friends at an afternoon tea a few days previous to the marriage. The bridal couple left later in the afternoon en route for.Wellington and Napier. As the happy couple left the church the "Wedding March" was played by Miss Bartlett. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion by Miss Best."
