EketaSiunay April 28. At live o'clock this morning,- Messrs Firth and Son's ■ stables were gutted by fire, & motor lorry, one horse, and a large stock oi' feed being lost. Tho firo had a strong hold before it \v«s discovered. Mr. Firth, junr.j who was sleeping on. the premises, escaped by the window. The .brigade pre\e-;tod the lire from .spreading. Tho, biuWing v,as ovrnerl l)y Mr T. Parsons. Tliw insuraneGs were. • on tho motor £-inO. on the stock iuul plant £300. The nssuranc-- on ti-e bvilding is not v.vailable.
