A CHRISTCHURCH MEMORIAL.
(United Press Association.]
Chrfstchurch, Feb. 14. The suggestion made by Mr. Ernest Davies, of Auckland, that the bodies should be recovered, and buried at St. Paul's, does not find support among the members of the Terra Nova expedition. It has been pointed out that if it was thought right to bring the bodies back Commander Evans would have done so when the Terra Nova returned.
A number of leading citizens "waited on tho Mayor to-day,. and suggested that some memorial to Captain Scott and tho other dead explorers should bo established in Christchurch.
The Mayor has consequently decided to call a meeting of citizens to consider the proposal. Tho mooting will be held <m Wednesday next.
