AVOID OPERATIONS.
Extract from London "Medical Magazine" for May, 1910:—"Thes* ferments obtained from the papaw,- are made tip in the form of an ointment and garble, and are recommended as an application to' enlarged glandular tissues, tumours, and ulcerations. The present preparation seems to combine the most active ferments of the plant ii a successful manner. Its activity
hh demonstrated by "Averal ras^s of hypertrophy of the turbr.'?! bodies., and in cases yf enlarged tonsils. After three or four weeks' application there was very, very marked iniprovemeat. There can be no doubt that the preparation is unusually effective, and should prove very serviceable, obviating the aecessity for operative procedures in many cases. .Such operative procedures are often adopted much too hastily. The present ferments are well deserv* ing of a trial, and in many 'eases we have no doubt the result will be satisfactory."
