THE BULAIR ENGAGEMENT.
FRESH PROPOSAL TO THE
POWERS.
HEAVY BOMBARDMENT AT
ADRIANOPLE.
(Received Feb. 14, 0;55 a.m.) Constantinople, Feb. 13. Official circles declare that the Bulgaran version of the Bulair engagement is exaggerated, and that the Turkish losses did not. exceed eight hundred. Tho Bulgarians did not gain an inch. The Turks are now fortifying their positions at Bulair.
Shevket Torgut Pasha, in an internew, said he did,not accept office with the sole object of continuing the war, but in order to conclude peace. Ho had replied to the Powers' note with a proposal on which peace negotiations may be continued. Ai^eavy bombardment of Adrianople is proceeding. Bulgarian aeroplanes dropped bombs. Severe fighting is reported at Gallipoli.
