TALISMAN REPORT.
(Special to "The Colonist.") Karangahafce, Feb. 7. During t'ho broken period of January tho Talisman battery crushed and treated 3300 tons of ore which yielded bullion^ valued at. £18,741 14s Id. The costs are higher on account of tho smaller tonnage milled owing to the Christmas holidays, and a/ necessary; overhaul for repairs. lowing cable has boon sent to London: "N0.14 level: Tlio north drive has progressed 37 feotj.no reef. We .are crosscutting east and west. No 14 level: Tho south drive has progressed 20' feet along a. reef 54 inches wide. The assays are'low. We have sunk the Tali-sman ■shaft 8 feet, and are now cutting a pump chamber." The boar-d of. directo fs' cable an interim dividend of Is 9d, jjnd a. bonus of 9d, payable on February 27th. The transfer books e'ose on February 14th.
