BULGARIAN ATROCITIES.
A narrative of unspeakable atrocities by the Bulgarians bas been forwarded to the "London Daily Telegraph" by, its special c«rn*spondont, Dr. E. J. Dillon, who says:—"l deeply regret to announce that a geries of the moefc appalling horrors of this or any other war known to history will shortly be pushed into the foreground* of public
discussion, and will cast an ugly blot on tho fair famo of the Balkan Christians, who began the campaign for the
liberation of oppressed peoples. From Constantinople and Bucharest narratives have reached me of inhuman massacres of the unarmed. Moslem I population by tlie Christian eoldiers in the environs of Salonika. It is not merely that these unfortunate human 'beings were slaughtered by the Bulgarians bands as thp lia'pless Bulgarian people have so. often been rna«eacrecl by ferocious " Bashi-GBazjouke, Kurdaj and Albanians, but tortures of the most fiendish kinds ' are credibly reported to have been resorted to. The
indignities offered to female^.cannot be clescrib€.d. Among the ( most soul-^earr ing enormi tio^.whifh marked this diahol|cli.l ,/js.tarnalia •.. fa the dblibciTate "onrial of the .living wounded. The gruesome ■ Etory of tliese horrorfl has '/Cen published nowhere as yet, but the silence will bo -short-lived, because, as •ny informants ,in Turkey and Roumania tell me, detailed : accoup.tS have beon already telegraphed to their respective Governments by the Consuls of. Germany, France, Great Britain, and Italy. This plunge into savagery is a greater .calamity for th'& Christians guilty of it than the loss of.a hardfought battle .would be;"
