CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE HEAD OFFICE.
On the arrival of the Rakaia yesterday morning, Messrs Buxton and Co.; agents for the New Zealand Shipping Co., wired to the head office at Christchurch that the vessel had been successfully berthed, and the following reply was read at the luncheon : "Very g leased to hear Rakaia safely berthed, ongratulate Nelson on inauguration of frozen meat shipments by direct steamer."
