The nominations for the Motueka Harbor Board election, states a private wire, resulted in only the required number being received for the County representation, while one nomination only was received for the Borough repreesntation. which is two members. For the County Messrs 11. Everett, T. Puttie, T. Hewetson, John A. Guy, and Charles Fry are therefore duly elected. Mr Fry takes the place of Mr John Heath, who did not seek reelection, the others were members of the old Board. Mr Percy G. Moffatt was the borough nominee, and another will require to be elected. The old Borough, mornbers were: Messrs J. H. Kankio, chairman of the late Board, and \V. J, Moffatt, who has loft the district. The Government intends calling for tenders for the erection of a monument over the grave cf the late Mr Seddon, on Observatory Hill. The mouumant has been designed by the Colonial Architect, and will stauJ n'fty-nina feet high. Mr and Mrs F. W. Ilsybittle will leave Wellington for London 'next ■month.
