DESERTING HUSBANDS.

Wellington, February 5. The Benevolent Trustees discussed the question of husbands deserting their wives and clearing out of the Dominion. Two instances were mentioned at the last meeting, and the Trustees decided to guarantee the police expenses in bringing back the errant husbands. The opinion was expressed that deserting husbands should be followed wherever they went and brought back aa an example to others who thought to d? likewise.
