CHEAP GRAPES

Wellington, April 30,

Cheap grapes, for at least the lower part of New Zealand, are likely to be an established institution next summer. Mr Scott, Commissioner for South Australia at the New Zealand Exhibition, said to a " Fost" representative that ho hoped to return to this country and supply delicious muscatel grapes to retailers at 4d a pound, and they could profitably pass them on to the public at 6d per lb. Fruit could be sold at that cost in Wellington, Christchuroh and Dunedin.
