MANCHESTER'S WATER SUPPLY.
It is proposed to increase the water supply of Manchester by laying another pipe for the conveyance of water fnrn Tbirimere Lake which is ninety miles from the city. The work would occupy seven years, and cost about £900,000. The pew pipe would bring another ten million galons of water daily from the lake. The two pipes already laid convey twenty million gallons daily to the city.
