NEW ZEALAND FARMERS' UNION.
The Waimea West Branch of the above held a meeting in Appleby Shool the other day. Mr W. Dron occupied the chair. The correspondence consisted of a remit from Wakefield, and a letter from the Secretary of the Inland Communication League, inviting the Branch to send a delegate to Wellington with that Association's deputation; which is to start in a few days. It is hoped the deputation will be successful, as the object is a most important one from a provincial point of view. The Wakefield remit was heartily endorsed.

, The Chairman gave an interesting description of ensilage making, and the time to cut fodder and stack it ; also the method of keeping the water out of it.
