WELLINGTON WOOL SALES;
Messrs E. Buxton <fc Co,, Limited, have received from their Wellington agents the following report on the wool sales, held on the lGth February:— We catalogued 850 bales at our sale to-day. There was a large and representative attendance of buyers, and competition was exceptionally keen, especially for parcels of clean, bright lambs, and good bulky bellies and pieces, which realised extreme rates.' Anything showing signs of seed, however, was almost entirely neglected. Compared with the January sale, and taking into consideration the wool catalogued to-day, prices may be quoted fully _&, in some cases £d higher. We have to report the sale of the following lots :— MH, 10 bales, 9d; NB, 7 bnles, Sjd; Glcnili, 11 balas (crossbred), 9_d; Gleniti, 4 bales (half-bred) 9sd ; M.
