Wellington, February IG. The mysterious disappearance of a young native is causing some excitement among the Maoris at Manukau. Paaapa Ihaka, whose brother committed suicide under peculiar circumstances about two months ago, has been missing since Monday week. At i o'clock on that day he left his mother on the road to inspect his unoccupied cottage close by, saying he would "overtake her in a minute," but he has not been seen or heard of since, though diligent search was instituted that evening, and has been continued ever since.
