Blenheim, February 15. About seven hundred people from Blenheim and Picton attended an excursion by the Union S.S. Company's Wainui yesterday to Ship Cove, the site of Captain Cook's landing place in Queen Charlotte Sound, where he took possession of the South Island in the name of the King. The weather vvas fine, and the excursion was a great success. Probably it will enccurag* the Union Company to make similar trips periodically to various parts of Queen Charlotte Sound from Picton and Wellington.
