The Greco-Turkish War.
Constantinople, May 21. The Porte is willing to discuss, and poSßibly modify, its demand for a war indemnity as to tbe terms of an armistice, and to .transfer Thessaly, but it deolinea to withdraw the demand for tbe abolition of (he Greek oapitulations. The Powers are resolutely opposing the oeition of Thessaly from Greece, aa well as tbe olaim for an excessive indemnity and the other demands made by the Porte. Ihe Ozar of Russia has thanked the Sultan for ordering the suspension of fightirg. jhe attitude ot Russia has produced a marked impression on the Porte. Athens, May 21.
A Greak torpedo versel oaptored an Austrian Lloyds eteam?r bound for Volo, and 72 Turkish seamen and the newly-appointed Turkish Governor, who were on board the steamer, were taken to Bkiathos, Further particulars of tbe battle of Domoko show that tbe Turkish foroes under Edhem Pasha numbered 50,000. Ten batteries covered the advance of the infantry upon tbe Greek lines. The commander of the Greek rfght wing, seeing his division In | danger, naked reinforcements of 3000 to be sent, but these were useless against (he overwhelming Turkish force, and it was found impossible to proteot the flanks. The defeat at Domoko gave rice to a panic at Lamia. The residents fled with what they could oairy, and the dreadful soeneß that ensued were similar to those at Larissa. The arrival of the Greek force under G=neral ismoleneki, however, restored order.
