Trap Accident.— Yesterday afternoon a horse attached to a spring trap, owned by Mr Lusty, of Richmond, bolted from the front of Messrs Buxton & Co's premises, in Tra'algar street, and proceeded as far as the Golden Fleece Hotel corner, where the trap capsized. One thaft was broken, and one splashboard damaged, but the horse escaped injured. Moiueka Flower Show.- Our own corretrondent writes that a mcc ing of tie Commttse of tbe Horticultural Society was held on Thursday evening, 4th inst., when it wss decided to hod the Spiing Show on the 30th November. A Queer Fish— A elratger to our waters in the form of a queer fish was brought to Neleon yesterday by Mr Westrupp. The fish was caught in a net at Motueka, by Mr Hawkens. Is eoraewbst resembles a soa&)l ribbon fish, exoept that it has long wiog- ike fina, but it is quits unlike a fly ng fish.
