Passengers — MesJames Whitehorn, Hill, Allan, Young, Majoribanks, Adcock, Rev Adcook, Messrs Duff, Jones, Hcdgson, Tamer, Moore (2), and Allan. 4— Lady Barkly, [ss, 40, Linton, for Motueka. 4— Kennedy, ss, 136, Furneaux, for West Coast. 4- Lily, rs, 20, Scully, for Motueta. The Murray arrived from Wanganui early this morning, and will sail at noon to-day for Westport. The Kennedy arrived from Wellington via Motueka yesterday morning, and sailed for "West Coast ports at 8 o'clock last evening. The Waverley is expected to leave Wellington to-day for Fatea. The Charles Edward will leave Foxton for Nelson to-cfay, and will sail for Wellington direct on Sunday at neon. The Aorere was discharging and loading cargo at Opurjake yefterday, and will leave there to-day for Wellington. The Lady Barkly sails fcr Golden Bay at six this morning, and returns here to-morrow nipht. 3?lie Lily leaves for Motueka at 8 o'clock this morning. The Penguin arrived from Wellington at 8.30 a.m yesterday, and sailed at 11.30 a.m for Picton, Wellington, and South. The Penguin has to make a special trip to Lyltelton on Monday, consequently she will not call here on Tuesday next. The first boat to Wellington after to-day will be the Mawhera on Wednesday, and she will also call at Picton. The Wainui returns from West Coast port 3 tbis morning, and sails at 11am for Wellington direct. The Mawhera will arrive from Picton and Wellington to-morrow morning, and sail at 10 a.m for West Coast ports. We are pleased to be able to state there was a slight improvement in Captain Newby's health yesterday. The Helen Denny will in all probability finish discharging to-morrow morning, the wet weather having greatly impeded the working cf cargo for several days. She goes from here to Timaru, and should get away about the middle of next week. As Captain Newby's health will prevent bis taking command, Mr Tatcbell, the chief officer, will in all probability take charge of the vessel as fel as Timaru. Captain Hoed, formerly of the schooner Rifleman, in which Te Kooti escaped to New Zealand frcm the Chatham Islands in 1868, is at present in Auckland. At the time of Te Kooti's escape he was tied up and left at the Chatbarns, while the Natives ran away with his ship.
