Sidney, December 12. The Cabinet has accepted the resignation of Messrs Barton and O'Connor, bu» has dona nothiog in the direotion of filling tbi vacancies. Mr McMellor says that the more closely the aotion of the Government is investigated the more outrageous it appears. It is absurd to say that no other courea was of en to the Government for there were several. All sections of the House think that a motion of censure will be crried within forty-eight hours of the mett;ng o! Parliament in January. ■ Later. The Opposition are holding a public meeting this evening to consider the aotion of the Government. The proceedings, which are rather noisy, were not coholuded when the Telegraph Office closed.
