News has been received from the Solomon Islands that a Trader named Frank Byeburg at Tanna was attacked by natives during a quarrel among themselves, and speared to death. They fired aud looted his store, BRISBANE, May 30. The oook of tho Bkooncr Skitty Bell has been oommitted for trial for the murder and mutilation of a cabin boy at Thursday Island. MELBOUBNE, May 30. A heavy thunderstom broke over the oity yesterday. The electrio light wire at the oorner of Bussell and Lonsdale streets was broken. A man named Andrews who eeized the wire was knocked down, and another named Herbert Wells, in attempting to assist Andrews, caught him by the wrist and was struck dead. Andrews esoaped with a severe burn. The force of the electrio current waß two thousand volts.
