lAt the cattle market the attendance wae large, and the busiaess (tone in the sheep

Fat lambs: A very heavy entry of about 700, and prices receded somewhat, Some very heavy lambs sold af3 high as 13s 9d, but from 8s 6d to lls Gd was the value of the bulk. Fat sheep.— The supply was good, and the entry oomprised orossbreds, shorn, with only a few merinos, as compared with recent raarkets Shorn crossbred wethers brought from 14s Cd to 15a 3d; wethers and maiden dyes. 13s (5d to 15a 9d ; ewes, lls to 13d 9d ; for a few merino wethers in wool, 12s to 14s; inferior lots, 9s 66. to 10a Cd. Fat Cattle. — The sale was restricted to 158 head, and at the opening, 'prices were deoidedly in advance of last week's, but as it proceeded they fell off. Best bullocks brought from £6 to £7 ss ; heifers from £5 to £5 15s, Store Cattle.— The sale was very unimportant, as among 136 head yarded there were no young Btook, and the demand for dry oows has relaxed considerably. The few dairy oows offered did not meet with satisfactory sale.
