POLLING EOR THE SUBURBS.

The election for this district took place on Thursday last, and resulted .in the return of Mr A. J. Richmond by a majority of ' 27. Mr Richmond received large majorities at -Nelson and at Wakapuaka. In face, out of 32 votes polled at the Provincial Hall, 30 were for that gentleman, and but 2 for Mr Rout. At the same time Mr Rout polled a minority of 6 over his opponent at Richmond, and of 19 at Stoke.
