TE KAWA NOTES

OPENING OF SCHOOL BATHS The Te Kawa School baths were officially opened on the sth inst., before a large attendance of parents and pupils. The headmaster, Mr Gudsell, expressed appreciation for the work and effort of those local residents who were responsible for the building of the baths. Mr A. C. Gregory, secretary of-the School Committee, gave a short resume of the history of the baths, and thanked all those who had assisted him in their erection, particularly Mr Bruce. Mr Mearns, chairman, then declared the baths open; expressing the thanks of the Committee to all those who had assisted either financially or by giving their services, especially Mr Gregory, without whose practical knowledge and assistance the project would not have been possible.
