B SECTION UPSET . * KORAKONUI’S FIRST LOSS A major upset, was caused in the B Section on Saturday when Korakonui suffered their first defeat of the season at the-hands of Tokanui. After Tokanui had gained a lead of 44 runs on the first innings, the finish nearly produced an outright win. Stumps were drawn with Korakonui.requiring 17 runs with their last man at the wickets. Kihikihi gained their first w’in of the season in beating the College eleven on the first innings in the other B Section game. Bright batting was witnessed in the two A Section matches finalised at Albert Park. Paterangi and Frontier Road, leaders in the section, both won their matches on the first innings over Wanderers and Rovers respectively, thus increasing their lead in the championship. Much interest will be featured in the next series when two vital matches to the final result will be staged. In the A Section, Paterangi and Frontier Road meet and in the B Section, Te Awamutu Ramblers and Korakonui meet. The championship points are as follows:—A Section: Paterangi 21, Frontier Road 20, Wanderers 12,, Rovers 11, Kaipaki 6. B Section: korakonui 27, Ramblers 24, Tokanui 17. College 5, Kihikihi 5.
