CRICKET
WAIPA ASSOCIATION TENTH TEAM NOMINATED The Management Committee of the Waipa Cricket Association met at the Courier office on Thursday evening. Mir L. W. Arnold presided, those present being Messrs D. Ramsbottom, N. McMahon, D. Barton, B. Ratcliffe, G. Bainbridge, W. Campbell, CBones, A. Bones and J. White. Apoligies were received from W. Haycock and A. G. Baigent. The business was to consider the acceptance of Te Awamutu Ramblers to the association’s competition. After a lengthy discussion the nomination was accepted. Te Awamutu Ramblers to take the first bye in the B section. It was regretted that Ngahinepouri could not field a team in the association’s competitions this season. It is hoped that this district will be fielding a team next season. Clubs with the bye are requested to avail themselves of visiting Ngahinepouri whenever possible. Waikeria have again made it possible for any team with the bye to visit them.
The draw for the first series is as follows :-r-
A. Section: Kaipaki v Frontier Road; Te Awamutu Wanderers v Te Awamutu Rovers; Paterangi a bye. B Section: Korakonui v Tokanui; Te Awamutu College v Kihikihi; Te Awamutu Ramblers a bye.
