Vacancy Filled A postal ballot conducted to fill the vacancy on the directorate Of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., caused by the death of Mr T. L. Harper, resulted in the return of Mr R. S. Bates, of Waihou. The unsuccessful candidates were Messrs A. J. Carter (Okauia), G. M. Ranstead (Matangi) and K. S. Gorrie (Matamata). Mr Bates is a wellknown farmer of the Te Aroha district and is president of the Te Aroha Sub-Province of Federated Farmers (Waikato Province) and a member of the provincial executive.
