TE AWAMUTU SALE The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report on their triweekly Te Awamutu stock sale held yesterday when an extra large yarding of cattle and pigs and a medium entry of store cattle and sheep came forward. Extra heavy bullocks showed an easing in price on late rates, whilst lighter weight remained firm. Female cattle were keenly competed for and realised up to £l7. Best bullocks realised to £22 Iss. A small entry of dairy cows and heifers came forward and were keenly sought after, prices being on a par with recent quotations. A medium yarding of sheep changed hands at prices on a par with recent quotations. An extra large yarding of fat pigs came forward. The yarding contained many heavy baconers which sold readily at equal to central yard rates. Light baconers and buttermilk were also firm. There was a large entry of stores, prices were easier in this section with a total clearance. Sheep: Heavy prime wethers to £2 4s 6d, heavy prime ewes 26s to 27s 6d, lighter prime ewes 23s to 255, store wether hoggets (medium quality) to 32s 3d. Pigs: Heavy baconers £6 to £6 9s, medium baconers £5 14s to £5 18s, light bacon and buttermilk £5 5s to £5 12s, medium pork £4 5s to £4 16s, large stores £3 .16s to £4 2s, medium stores £3 8s to* £3 14s, slips stores £2 15s to £3 4s, best weaners £2 to £2 6s, small weaners £1 12s to £1 15s.

Cattle: Bullocks £lB 10s to £2l, lighter £lB, fat cows £l3 10s to £l5, boner and stores £4 Ils, potter bulls £8 10s to £9, lighter £7 to £lO IGs, springing Jersey heifers £l2 to £l4 15s. Pigs: Prime baconers £6 Is to £6 9s, lighter £5 10s to £6, buttermilk £4 15s to £5 Bs, good stores £3 l()s to £3 15s, others £3 3s to £3 Bs, slips £2 15s to £3, best weaners to £2 15s, others to £2 ss, sows to farrow £3 ?5s to £9 15s, sows with litters to £l5.
