USE OF SCHOOL BUSES
TRANSPORT OF CHILDREN TO SWIMMING BATHS CHAIRMAN PAYS TRIBUTE TO PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION The following is a copy of a letter received by the Committee of Management of Te Awamutu High School. It is self-explanatory:— “I am directed to inform you that, as conditions regarding the maintenance of school buses have improved somewhat, and after further consideration of the matter, the Board will offer no objection to the children of the school being conveyed to the swimming baths for instruction in the school buses. This permission is granted only if there are buses available, and conditional on the committee taking early steps towards the construction of school baths.” Mr Parker, chairman of the committee, who kindly supplied the above to the Courier, adds:—“l would like to pay a personal tribute to the Par-ent-Teacher Association who are mainly responsible for this concession, as they were able to use channels barred to the committee.”
