Mr P. Mclnally, of Kihikihi, was a performer at the Hamilton Orphans’ Club on Saturday night.
The engagement is announced between Cecil Irving McKnight, Titirangi, Auckland, and Betty Jean, second daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Raison, Te Kawa.
Mr W. S. Goosman, M.P., has been elected unopposed as representative for the Morrinsville Borough Council on the Thames Valley Electric Power Board.
Cabled advice has been received by Mr and Mrs McKinnon, Te Rore, that their son, Able Seaman Radar J. McKinnon, of the Royal New Zealand Navy, has arrived in England and is reported as being fit and well.
