W.D.F.U. and Patriotic Dance

The members of the W.D.F.U. are going to have charge of the Patriotic Dance to be held on Saturday night. In addition to giving town patrons an opportunity of assisting the country people by a large attendance, farmers’ wives and daughters are expected to turn out in force and thus demonstrate what the country folk can do when it comes to running a dance.

Annual Meeting of Power Board In accordance with notice of motion circulated by letter the chairman of Te Awamutu Electric Power Board (Mr J. T. Johnson) the resolution previously fixing the date of the annual meeting for 26th May was rescinded and 31st May appointed as the date. Mr Johnson explained that the amendment was due to the alteration in the date of the elections.
