KIHIKIHI NEWS

ANGLICAN CHURCH GUILD A very successful and enjoyable afternoon was spent at Mrs Regan’s on Tuesday last by members of the Anglican Church Guild and others. In the absence of Mrs Sullivan (president), Mrs A. Maunder (vicepresident) presided over a fair attendance. The afternoon was spent with games and competitions. Apologies for unavoidable absence were received from Mesdames Sullivan, Robinson, Marx, Allen and George. Tea and sugar for competition were donated by respective members, Mesdames Maunder and Regan. Competitions were won by Mesdames Helwig and Marquis, the prizes being donated by Mrs Regan.

Quite a large number of varied gifts were received by the secretary to be made into a parcel to be forwarded to Rev. Captain M. G. Sullivan, M.A., Chaplain to the Forces in Italy. A very hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mrs Regan for her hospitality and for the happy and successful afternoon spent. A delightful afternoon tea then concluded the function. Donations were gratefully received from Mesdames Badeley and Marx, who were unable to be present.
