Mr E. Melntyre, honorary secretary of the Dairy Producers’ Association advises that 25 branches of the organisation had been formed in addition to a strong group in the Bay of Plenty’ area.

Plenty of Rabbits During a hearing of a case before the Land. Sales Committee yesterday it was stated that 1600 rabbits had been taken off a property in three weeks.- This caused a witness to sa\ that the Rabbit Boards did more good for the country than anything else.

During the hearing of a Te Kuiti case before the Land Sales Committee yesterday, the question as to when a water supply was put down arose.!’ The valuer for the vendor said it was RUi down in the year one, whereon the Crown representative retortedj “Yes, we know that there was water-in New Zealand since the year one, but we. have not been able to use it.” The chairman joined in the discussion by remarking that was so because, we were not here to use it, but the Crown representative smilingly had the last word by saying there might be another answer to that.
