The report to the Executive Committee for the half-year ending June 30 states that of the 50 members of the committee, ten are in the Home Guard and other members are in essential industries. Produce grown included 20 tons potatoes, five tons marrow, and seven tons pumpkins. For the present season an area of 20 acres was being got ready for cropping- . , A sum of £l3 10s had been raised for the King Koroki fund and £l3 5s towards the Maori war effort.
