GIRLS’ CRICKET CLUB

SUCCESSFUL DANCE The members of the Te Awamutu Girls’ Cricket Club continue to hold their dances every second week, and the last one, held last Saturday evening, proved to be no exception to the recognised high standard that is now expected of these functions. The good attendance of dancers proved conclusively the popularity attained by the promoters of the dances. Mr S. McFie was again master of ceremonies, and as usual handled the position excellently. A Monte Carlo waltz resslted in Miss Gadsby and Mr Mason being announced as the winners, and a spot waltz was won by Miss Wilcox and Private Hedley Kidd. A delightful supper was served by the ladies of the Club, and during the interval extras were played by Messrs G. Pollard and W. Cullen. With midnight came the National Anthem and the conclusion of an event enjoyed by all lovers of the terpsichorean art who had the good fortune to be present.
