TE AWAMUTU PRIMARY SCHOOLS MEETING OF COMMITTEE A meeting of the Committee of the I’e Awamutu Primary Schools was held on Friday evening last, when there were present: Messrs Les. S. Armstrong (chairmaji), J. Waters, T. Short, E. J. Menary, H. B. Ward, J. E. Short, A. B. White, and G. M. Wall. The chairman reported that the matter of erecting and repairing the road signs near the schools had been attended to. The chairman further reported that as a result of an exhaustive survey, a slight improvement in the timetable of the school bus services had been arranged. . The matter of securing a winter supply of coal and carbonettes was left to the Headmaster (Mr N. F. Rigby) to procure. The Headmaster was also empowered to procure certain requisites. The Works Committee was authorised to take steps necessary to renew the lawn in front of the infant school. The secretary reported that all members of the committee had been re-elected unopposed for a further term.
