TOWN HALL DANCE
HAIRINI SOLDIERS’ WELFARE COMMITTEE
There was a good attendance at the Town Hall on Friday night at the usual monthly dance held under the auspices of the Hairini Soldiers’ Welfare Committee. Dancing to the music of Mrs E. Holmes’ Orchestra was interspersed with extras played by Mrs T. Dibble and Mr A. Thomas. Mr A. B. White carried out the duties of Master of Ceremonies in an efficient manner. A Monte Carlo competition was held, Miss L. Chapman and Mr Ray Martin being the winners. A delicious supper provided by the Hairini ladies was tastefully arranged in the supper room, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all present. Dancing continued till a late hour, when the evening terminated with the playing of the National Anthem.
