Mesdames Hetwig and Raine, with the aid of an arts and crafts box from Massey College, gave a demonstration on “ Short Cuts to Sewing.” Competitions were won by the following:—. Room competition: Mrs McFarlane. Ginger biscuits for soldiers: Mrs G. McGhie 1, Mrs Fraser 2. Article made from old felt hat: Mr= McFarlane 1, Mrs Eyre 2. Vegetables: Mrs Robinson 1, Mif W. McGhie 2. Best bloom: Mrs Raine 1, Mrs Hawkins 2. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames W. McGhie and Bruce.
