A survey has disclosed that the 160,000 tons of cheese required by Britain from New Zealand is assured, according to a statement made by the chairman of directors of the Mangorei Co-operative Dairy Company (Taranaki), Mr A. Hall, yesterday. Mr Hall said he had received this information from the Director of the Dairy Division, Mr M. W. Singleton. From more than 1200 applications 192 New Zealand nurses have been s'ent overseas and 39 are serving in New Zealand camps. These figures are given in the annual report of Miss M. I. Lambic, director of the division of nursing of the Health Department, who adds that there were also many Nelw Zealand nurses overseas at the outbreak of war, of whom; many have remained and are being used for military duties.
