LIVE STOCK MARKET. SALE AT OHAUPO. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Ohaupo on Friday last, as follows:—A good yarding of cattle came forward, which met with good competition at full late market quotations. We quote: Good quality heavy Jersey steers £ll ss, fat S.H. cross cows £7 to £7 7s 6d, heavy fat Jersey cows £6 to £6 17s 6d, fat Jersey cows £5 to £6, heavy boners £4 to £5, others £2 5s to £4, empty 2-year heifers and young cows £3 10s to £4 ss, mixed coloured Jersey cross yearling heifers £4 Ils, medium quality springing Jersey cows £7 to £8 10s, medium ditto springing Jersey heifers £lO, calved cows £7 15s. SALE AT FRANKTON. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton yesterday, as follows: Sheep: A medium entry of fat ewes and wethers was penned; competition throughout was good and prices were firm on last week’s values. A good yarding of fat hoggets came forward and sold well up to schedule. We quote:—Prime heavy fat wethers £1 10s to £1 12s 6d, medium fat wethers £1 7s 9d to £1 9s, light and unfinished £1 5s to £1 6s 3d, heavy ewes 1 £1 to £1 2s, other ewes 15s 3d to 17s 6d, heavy fat hoggets £1 8s to £1 9s 9d, light to medium fat ditto £1 3s to £1 6s 9d, unfinished £1 Is to £1 2s, good store w.f. hoggets 19s to £1 Is.

Cattle: There was a medium yarding of beef and a good yarding of store and boner cattle. The beef market was again keen and rates were again steady on last week’s rates. Store and boner cattle again met the usual ready demand. We quote: — Light fat bullocks £9 a 17s 6d to £lO Ils, medium fat heifers £8 15s to £9 7s 6d, ditto £7 17s 6d to £8 12s 6d, heavy boners £4 3s to £4, 17s 6d, medium ditto £3 Is to £4, lighter ditto £2 2s to £2 18s, medium quality yearling Jersey heifers £4 Is to £4 12s 6d.

Pigs: A good yarding of pigs came forward with a large yarding of store and weaner pigs. All classes were quieter of sale than late sales. We quote:—Light baconers £3 to £3 10s, heavy porkers £2 10s to £3, medium ditto £2 to £2 10s, light ditto 30s to £2, large stores 25s to 335, medium ditto 10s to 255. small ditto 15s to 20s, slips 16s to 20s, choice wellgrown weaners 20s to 25s 6d, medium weaners 15s to 20s, small ditto 10s to 15s, choppers £2 to £3 10s, sows to farrow £2 to £3 10s.
