CYCLE ROAD RACE

SATURDAY’S EVENT. TO PARAWERA AND BACK. The Te Awamutu Amateur Athletic and Cycling Association staged a cycle road race to Parawera and back on Saturday afternoon, the distance being 17 miles and the weather conditions being favourable. There were eight starters and the final result was:— G. Adams (14m.) 55m., 395. 1 J. Adams (14m.) 55m. 40s 2 G. Kinzett (7m.) 53m. 43s 3 The fastest times were recorded by: T. Dalziel (scr.) 48min. 31secs. L. Johnson (scr.) 48min. 32secs. L. Hooper (5m.) 51min. 41secs. The back competitors in this race showed very little impression on the limit men and also middle markers.
