THE RUGBY SUB-UNION. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Waipa Rugby Union was held on Monday evening, when there were present: Messrs W. HParish (presiding), R. Clarke Thompson, T. Bowden, L. T. Brown, R. Guy, and H. T. Haselden (honorary secretary). An apology was received from Mr N. M. Thomson. A letter was received from the Waikato Union asking if the Waipa Union desired to apply for any petrol allowance for teams travelling during the 1941 season.—lt was decided to reply in the negative. A communication from the Waikato Union suggestino- that playing and/or residential qualifications should be introduced into the rules of the Peace Cup competition so as to ensure uniformity among the competing teams, was received. • Regarding jerseys, Mr Guy reported that a set of white jerseys had been procured, and that these would be in the care of Mr Betts, who would arrange for the washing of same. The matter of eligible players joining the Home Guard was mentioned, and it was decided to assure the Home Guard of the Union’s sympathy and to appeal to all eligible players to join the Guard. Matches for Saturday were arranged as follows: Seniors: Pirates v. Waikeria, No. 1 ground; at 2.15 p.m.; Pirongia v. Owairaka, No. 2 ground, at 2.15 p.m. Third grade; Rovers v. Ohaupo, No. 1 ground; Old Boys v. High School, No. 2 ground, at 1 p.m. TEAMS Jj’Oß SATURDAY. The- following High School third grade players will play next Saturday at Albert Park, at 1 p.m.: Jacobs, Sinclair, Bayley, Rawhihi, Grey, Pollard, Finn, Lewell, Price, Wyllie, Shirtcliffe, Kenealy, Clements, P. Hodgson, D. Hodgson, Donaldson, Clarke. Pirates team to play Waikeria: Dufty, Lewell, Dinsdale, Davidson, Lawry, Kay, Calder, Parish, Old, Turney, Thomson, Donaldson, Saunders, Hinton, D. Clarke, Reilly and Frew'.
