“AU REVOIR”
EVENING AT KAIRANGI. SOLDIER HONOURED. .A social evening and presentation was tendered to Private W. Reynolds in the Kairangi Hall on Tuesday evening. A leather case, containing two silver-backed military hair brushes, and a morocco leather writing compendium, was presented to the guest of honour by Mr G. Headifen. Excellent music was supplied for dancing by Mesdames P. Alderman and G. Headifen, and Mr V- Looker proved an efficient master of ceremonies. Supper was supplied by the Kairangi ladies. Among the many present were Mesdames V. Looker, J. Partridge, L. Reynolds. E. von Sturmer, P. Aiderman, J. Main, E. Easton, G. Headifen, J. Jamieson, H. Griggs, and G. Cliney; Misses P. Main, A. Aiderman, R. Looker, L. Fitzgerald, B. Chapman, J. Griggs, P. Fleming, P. Easton, H. Looker, and I. Steer.
