DIED OF WOUNDS
SERGEANT D. SPINLEY. Sergeant Douglas Spinley, who was formerly reported as wounded, and now as having died of wounds, was born at Otahuhu 26 years ago and commenced his schooling at Fairfield School,. Hamilton, but later left for Morrinsville, where he lived up to the time of his enlistment. Sergeant Spinley was a member of the Morrinsville Orphans’ Club and a Past Grand Master of the Morrinsviile Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F. He was also a member of the Terriers’ Football Club. He was a nephew of Mr George Spinley, of Te Awamutu.
