WAR CASUALTY

LOCAL SOLDIER WOUNDED IN ’ ACTION. On Monday afternoon Mrs N. F. Goodall, Rewi Street, received a telegram from the Government advising that her son, Corporal Jack Goodall, had been wounded in the leg and back by shrapnel while in action with the New Zealand forces overseas. Corporal Goodall was attached to the second echelon. He enlisted on the Monday following the declaration of war.
