“Not known in Masterton,” was stamped on the envelope of a letter addressed to “Mr T. T. Jordan, Masterton.” The letter was returned to the Auckland sender, marked, “Insufficiently addressed.” It lias since been returned to the person for whom it was intended, who is no other than the Mayor of Masterton, Mr T. Jordan. The legend, “Not known in Masterton” makes tho envelope one of Mr Jordan’s treasured possessions.
