Mr and Mrs John Sterritt, of Young Street, leave to-night on a visit to Christchurch.
Mr W. J. White has been elected to fill the vacancy on the Cambridge Domain Board caused by the death’ of Mr James Hooker.
Appreciation of the services of Miss D. J Buchanan, tutor sister of the Waikato Hospital, was expressed at the meeting of the \yaikato Hospital Board yesterday, when her resignation was received She has been appointed matron of the Southland Hospital Mr F Findlay, chairman of the Board, remarked that Miss Buchanan had served the Board efficiently for three and a half years, and had done a great deal towards maintaining the hospital’s reputation for high percentages of passes in examinations
